Dr Ruth McElroy of the Centre for the Study of Media and Culture in Small Nations and Director of the USW Creative Industries Research Institute, features in the Parliamentary Report, published today on Broadcasting in Wales

Ruth contributed widely to the parliamentary debate - offering observations ranging from the basing of the BBC’s Drama Village in Cardiff’’s Roath Lock being a 'game changer in putting Wales on the map' and the potential need for Welsh based intervention into the process of material being commissioned by the wider media to reflect the realities of Welsh life.

Dr McElroy commented:

'"t was great to be able to give evidence on this important debate on the challenges facing broadcasting in Wales today. The Centre for Media and Culture in Small Nations has worked with partners over many years to help inform public debate on why broadcasting in Wales really matters'".
