Managing Collaboration and Knowledge Exchange

The University collaborates with a wide variety of organisations to carry out research projects as a method of innovation and to help tackle regional and global social and economic challenges; whilst maximising the impact of your research.

Whether you are working with a local SME or an international consortium, all research partnerships can be difficult to start and even more difficult to maintain successfully! Managing successful partnerships can also be critical to drawing down external funding.

RISE provides a dedicated central support to help researchers engage with partners. We offer expertise to assist academics with managing their collaborations including:

  • Setting up Collaboration Agreements
  • Setting up Confidentiality Agreements
  • Using IP belonging to others
  • Protecting IP arising from Collaboration
  • Commercialising IP
  • Securing Funding
  • Developing Research Partnerships
