Meet the team

The Research and Innovation Services (RISe) team based within the Research and Business Engagement (RBE) department in FG8 on Treforest campus comprise of five areas covering all aspects of research and innovation. 

 RISe key activities include:

·         Support the academic community in applying for and obtaining funding through identifying funding opportunities and leading or supporting the compilation of funding proposals

·         Manage and oversee the research excellence submission and resultant quality research (QR) income

·         To support the Research Institutes and their members in all aspect of  their activities through providing training and opportunities for career progression

·         To identify, develop and manage the university’s IP portfolio and to ensure that the commercial exploitation of IP is optimised.

·         To ensure that the university complies with research governance matters including ethics, research misconduct, open access and data storage
